MS exchange

Everytime I send e-mail with an attachment of more than 500kb I receive an error: 552 Requested mail action aborted exceeded storage allocation.

Hi, Acording to Microsoft, the error mean that the destination mailbox is full. The E_Mail administrator may need to increase the size of the mailbox. See link:

Agreed.

Also,some user do not realized that when deleting their mail, the mail will actually be move to "deleted" folder and the contents of this folder is included in the quota given by the administrator. Inform your recipient to remove it permanently to provide space for new mails.

The issue is the limit set on your mailbox. Your mailbox quota covers ever object present in your mailbox i.e. 'sent messages', 'deleted items' etc. The problem sometimes is that you clear out your deleted items but forget to tidy up your 'sent items' which is part of your mailbox quota. You can highlight your mailbox and in the properties there is a button that says mailbox size to see the size of each object in your mailbox.
