MS exchange and external email

By dcunningham ·
I have a network with a domain of Users can send/receive internal email and send to external internet email addresses except when they try to send email to an email service we use that created the domain When they try to sendto those it seems that Exchange tries to find that user internally and fails. How can I direct those emails to the internet site.

Routing settings...

Check your routing settings under your internet mail service. Under the CONNECTIONS tab check your message delivery. Make sure you check the Forward all messages to host bullet and set you SMTP server.

Also, are you using a firewall? If so, make sure you have it set to allow outgoing mail.

I have 100 pop users that are using Exchange 2000. I cannot seem to get them to send emails to external addresses.

Any Ideas?
