MS Exchange Server

There is encountered the following problem on MS Exchange Server. Outgoing mails to the Internet address are not being delivered. What are the areas on Exchange to look into ? Appreciate your advise as am new to Exchange administration/troubleshooting. My email is itask@usa.net
ps: there is no problem on receiving incoming Internet mails.

To what Internet address?

You can run TELNET to that mail server and try a manual send (turn on local echo, the other server will respond to HELO )

If you can't telnet to the server by name, it's likely name resolution. Try sending to another mail server (another person at a different address) if your problem is isolated to a single user. Otherwise, check DNS and the setting in the IMC of whether to forward or use DNS (I prefer DNS - more local control)
