Scenario:
Outlook97 is our INTERNAL mail client. Outlook97 works ONLY with Exchange and should in no way whatsoever work with Prodigy/IPS/Internet mail.
Two users have installed Prodigy 5.0 on their systems, including IE 5.0 and Outlook Express 5.0. On those two systems, Outlook Express 5.0 is the EXTERNAL mail client. Outlook Express 5.0 should work ONLY with Prodigy/ISP/Internet mail and is in no way whatsoever to work with internal Exchange mail.
Office97 programs such as Word97 andExcel97 need to work ONLY with Outlook97 and should not even be aware of Outlook Express 5.0. Internet Explorer 5.0 should work ONLY with Outlook Express 5.0 and should never look to Outlook97 for anything.
Problem:
Word97 and Excel97 do NOT use Outlook97 for their default mail program anymore, but look instead to Internet Explorer 5.0 (where Outlook Express 5.0 is set as the default mail client) for their default mail client information. I want to train Word97 and Excel97 to use Outlook97 as their default m
