    MS mail administration…

    Locked

    by dlanors ·

    I have a standard WGPO located on a shared drive on a Win2K server, and have been administering the Post office with no problems for a long time.(using the Mail Administration icon from a Win95 control panel) All of a sudden, when I try to access the PO, I get a message that there is “no valid workgroup post office, or the path is invalid” after entering my administration ID/password. Is there a utility to check validity of files, etc in a wgpo? The actual mail system is working, I just can’t get into it to make any changes, etc.

      Try Q135352 – PC Gen: Frequently Asked Questions for Mail for PC Networks…
      This can be accessed by http://support.microsoft.com

      Also check the msmail.ini for UNC entries because ms mail only liked drive entries.
      Example;
      \\server\mail – UNCx:\mail -Drive Mapping.

      Hope these help..
