I am working with MS Office accessing files from multiple locations using DFS. When office opens a file in location A, a lock file is created and nobody has the ability to open the file at that location, however, when a user opens the same file on a DFS replicated server Branch location B the file is available for edit. User B changes file and saves, user A eventually saves file which gets replicated to location B overwriting the changes user B made earlier. DFRS puts file in a conflictanddeleted directory.
