MS Office is not auto deleting tmp files

I am having an issue with tmp files for word saving in my documents along with the original and not auto deleting when you save the file. We are running Win2k and office 2k. I have checked the autosave location, ran a repair on office, completely uninstalled office then ran an office 2k eraser reinstalled office. I am still getting the same issue.

Office creates TMP files when you open a document. Saving does not delete the files if you still have them open. They are only deleted when you close the document. If you don't close the file before you close the Office application, it's possible the application is not terminating properly leaving the TMP files behind.

So, after you've saved the document, close the docutment leaving the application open. THEN, exit the program.
