MS Outlook 2003

by rsiakisi . Updated 18 years, 2 months ago

Hi,

I have a MS Exchange 2003 mail installed and configured on 2003 Active Directory DC. All users email are configured using MS Outlook 2003. I’ve discovered that users were able to view other users maibox within their own inbox which i think has compromise the security of privacy on all mailbox hosted in Exchange Server.

This is how the other user folder are accessed after launching Outlook 2003.

Open File-Open-Other Users Folder.

After this simple steps are followed correctly, inbox are accessed once the user’s AD account and able to view all items in the inbox.

Is there a way where security permission can be apply to restrict access to other mailbox ?

Thanks
Rob
