At some point recently, the MS outlook on my PC has been infected with some sort of virus or Spam, that has inserted a ?mass-mailer? program or other malicious file that sends multiple copies when I either send or forward an email that contains any type of attachment. These include pdf, jpeg, tiff, etc.
I?ve purchased an anti-virus program download by the name of Security Shield 2007 and ?Spywarebot? that I?d hoped would ?clean? this from the PC however, it has not.
Since certain Architect and Engineering firms routinely send me rather large files, forwarding these in multiple copies rapidly eats up disk space and system performance.
Especially when the recipient may get well over a hundred copies of the same email from me. Also I?ve noticed that the ?contacts? folder in MS outlook has been doubled. Every contact listed, now appears at least twice in my contact list. This is really creating a lot of headaches and problems. Does anyone know what I can do to get rid of this?
Although I am not in the technology field, I?m not completely stupid when it comes to PC?s, but this one I am haven?t a tough time with??Please send the cavalry!
