I use MS Proxy Server 2 for publishing an internal website on the Internet. To do this I installed the winsock proxy client on the web server. This setup works fine without a firewall in between of the proxy server and the web server. I noticed thatwhen the web server initiates a control session it uses a dynamic source port and a fixed (1745 by default) destination port. When a HTTP request comes in from the Internet the proxy server initiates a new session with 1745 as source port and the same dynamic destination port that was used as source port for the control session.
Does anybody know how to force the winsock proxy client or the proxy server to use a fixed port?
