MS Proxy Server cant see external NIC

winnt 4 box w sp2 and ms proxy server 2.0

fresh install on both , 2 nics both able to c respective networks, internal and external. MS Proxy server wont route across box however. when I go into the internet services manager under web proxy andsocks proxy the security button informs me that routing is not ppossible becasue there is no external nic available.

i have populated the LAT with the internal addx and ip forwarding is turned off 4 both. default gateway is on extrenal NIC only not internal

and still cant route across box. I have a working proxy server and have compared all settings and all r same

this is really got me stumped
