MS Windows XP Pro. – Long delays browsin

I have a network consisting of MS WINDOWS NT SERVER 4, as server and MS Windows 95, 98, 2000 pro and XP Pro as clients.

I always have to go through a long delay while accessing network resources through MS Windows XP Pro client/workstation. Also,the shared resources on MS Windows XP Pro workstation is inaccessible to others on the network even though I have set permissions to (Everyone).
