Cannot find this answer. I have 6 PC's running the same platform, Win 95 with Office 97. 3 of them have many more selections while in word at the Insert, symbols, fonts, subset section than the other 3..how is this and how can I get more selections forthe other 3. Not sure how some have more choices in this area than other. There must be a way to add more. This does not seem to be directly related to The fonts in the fonts Folder...Please help!! Cannot seemed to resolve!! Thanks for your time and expertise!!! Joe D.

Not entirely sure, but firstly you only see the sub-set when your selected font is normal text, right? If so, then yes it has nothing to do with installed fonts. In looking through Word help, this normal text may be related to the installation multilingual support. Go into add/remove programs (control panel) and the Windows Setup tab and compare the machines. Look to see if there is a pattern here between the installed languages and depth of symbol subsets.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
