We have a site running NT4 Sr6 Servers and Workstations, also Ms Office 97 Sr2.
Since the implementation of manditory roaming profiles on all workstations the following error has been reported. This is regardless of which user logs in.
Intermittently, when a Word document is open and text highlighted in order to delete or ammend, Word users find that all the text in the document becomes ‘smudgy’ and unreadable also bar-code like characters appear within and between words.
Sometimes if the document is minimised then maximised again it returns to normal at other times it does not.
We have to date removed then reinstalled Word and changed printers and printer drivers but to no avail.
