MS Word Question

By chipw ·
Okay, can someone tell me how to insert a new page at the beginning of a Word document? I don't see any options for doing this, and the help file gave me no relevant responses. This is such a typical action I find I hard to believe the option isn't there to add a new page, anywhere, into an existing document that I am working on.
What am I missing? It's gotta be something simple, right?

Position your cursor at the beginning of the document. Click Insert, Break, Page Break. It doesn't look like much but do Print Preview and go back a page. Voila, blank page.

Is that what you want?

Position the cursor at the begining of the document (before the first letter in the document) and press Ctrl and Enter (at the same time)

Thanks. That works. Must be somewhere hidden in the menu, or undocumented. I sure couldn't find it. Then a co-worker said I need to insert a page break before the first character on a page. How strange, why not just insert a new page? MS is wierd.

Alternatively, you can press ctrl&Enter wherever you want a new page.
