MSAccess – no read permissions on Tables

by joelicketto . Updated 25 years, 7 months ago

Having to support many customers using a custom medical industry software, we get to see quite a large number that have experienced corruption to the database, rendering the software useless.
The DB is a MS Access97 format and the major issue that prevents us from extracting the data and importing it into an empty MDB file appears with this specific message in the dialog box: “Record(s) can’t be read; no read permission on the ‘Tables’.”
There are either 39 or 46 tables to the program and thefirst table to be found is the Appointments and this is naturally the ‘Table’ that halts the query extraction process. It is also the exact same message that we get in attempting to open the file directly through MS Access 97 (or 2000).
Any insites would be appreciated.
