MSBackup in WIN98SE

Re: MSbackup in WIN98SE

Clicking this menu I get “no storage engine installed”, whereas I have a DVDburner.
When following the “install new hardware procedure” I finally end up in some storage window mentioning
MITSUMI, MKE Panasonic and SONY Corp.
However I have installed NEC DVD RW. So the question seems to “which of the three represents NEC”

Why does WIN98SE ask for HARDWARE whereas it is possible to make “a point of repair” (translated)
in XP, without any additional hanky-panky.

It may be clear that I should like to have an up to date reboot-DVD in case I get “you need to install Win98SE” again.

Thanks in advance
