So, I know that I can uncheck all the programs that I don’t want to run during startup by clearing the boxes in msconfig’s startup tab. I’m just thinking that it is a pretty shabby way of managing software! There must be a more efficient method ofconfiguration that is meant to do that, right? It just seems to me that with the amount of dollars that microsoft gets with each new version of windows, one would think they would be able to create a more sensible method. As it is, even when I do use that method to reduce the load on my system, a lot of the time the software (or windows) just adds it back again. NOW I’ve got TWO of the lines that I didn’t want!
Anyone? (sorry if this seems hostile…I’m a frustrated once-was-programmer – pre-PC and as far back as punch cards and teletype’s – and it just seems like they’ve lost themselves in their own code) I sooo miss good old linear logic!
