MS/FS9-Clouds and weather effects rendering
Hi All,
First the specs:
I have a Intel Dual core 1.6GHz with 2Gb RAMM and a PCIExpress Nvidia GEForce 9600GT – 512RAM graphics card.
I am running FS9. Just to speak to my capabilities: I am an electrical engineer, computer proficient, and have logged many hours in the flight simulator.
Recently I changed my graphics card – a low end 64mb RAM with the one mentioned above.
Since, in spite of all recommended tweeking, the clouds (especially in fog) and the strong lights (ie Landing lights) have a layered multi colored effect – to describe: similar to the elevation layering drafted on a topographical map. This effect moves and undulates with the aircraft as it flies through its time and space. I have tried shutting off all the software rendering to let the hardware render – and many other tweeks – without success.
I thought that I would put this query out on this forum to you folks to see if anyone have had this problem and a solution to it. Would like to solve it as my engineering mind loves the troubleshoot / solutions to any issues – in short it bugs me. 😉
Thanks for your feedback.
Ken
