MSI decide to move away from BIOS

By .Martin. ·
MSI have decided to start implementing UEFI systems, rather than boards with a traditional BIOS, by the end of the year.

Do you think it will work?

I want the BIOS without all the nonsense of the OS on occasion.

Just another stupid effing reason to make things ridiculous, colourful and painful to navigate.

Except for the exclamation point in the second paragraph, and the one in the paragraph next to last.

My antennae go up when I see exclamation points.

It could be a problem

by airwolf_2099 In reply to not very

There's something annoying me at this time...

When users don't know how to use BIOS they may screw up the whole PC in matter of seconds. Now, with a GUI they may start clicking over everything they see, making a real mess. Then lots of PCs will run out of warranty or so by accidental overclockings.

Want another problem? Try language barrier. Here in Mexico there's a lot of people who call me "There's a pop-up I can't understand". So, try IT lacks + english.

Just hope it could be EndUser-proof.
