msmail on windows 2000 professional

After installing msmail on win2000 pc, I can’t get it to stay. Whenever I click on the Microsoft Outlook icon, it starts installing. After I set everything up, logout and then log back in, I have to do the same things over and over again.

How can I install msmail on win2000 and stop having to re-install every time I log in?
