MSN network problems

By smithj ·
On our network we have been having problems connecting MSN. We have tried XP, Windows 2000, and everything. It will never connect. It seems as a firewall problem, but nothing lookds to be wrong there. We have an ISA firewall, what can I do?

MSN network problems

by duwaned In reply to MSN network problems

Hi.

I know this sounds stupid, but I have had this problem before. We use Checkpoint Firewall one, and no matter what I did, I could not get MSN to work.

The problem ended up that I did not have a dial-up connection or modem configured. As soon as I created a dial-up connection to my ISP, and added a standard modem driver, MSN started working. Go figure! This happend on Win2K, and XP. Give it a tray and let me know if it helped.

Regards.
Duwane

This sounds a bit confusing. What I meant is that once I had created a dial-up connection and adeded a modem driver, that I could then connect to MSN through our firewall.
