the "messenger" problem +sp2
I seem to have a problem with the connection of messenger and other "log on" services that won't connect. These problems started to occur after I installed sp2 pack. I have asked my friends but no one seems to know how to get rid of these problems so is there anybody that can help me? As you can understand, this is indeed very annoying. wbs

Haven't experienced that problem and I use both services on SP2.

But I would suggest the old tried and true method of un-installing the applications, then re-installing the latest and greatest versions under SP2.

I don't know whether or not you have configured the firewall that SP2 installs, but you might try turning that off as well to experiment.

Try those two things and get back to us.

weird u have that problem with a Microsoft application but still... I think its locked out by the firewall build-in in windows with sp2.
Rightclick "my network places" and goto options then goto your networkcard and rightclick it to --> options --> advanced --> goto firewall settings --> exceptions and add the program u wanne use here.
try using it now

HOPE IT WORKS !!!!!!!!!!!

I have tried all those ways before and it still wont work. I will try though to update sp2 but i don't give it that much hope. I have also tried to turn off the firewall and that doesn't work so there is nothing i can do about the firewall applications. thanks anyway but continue to write, i'll be up again tomorrow
