I am restoring a Compaq Presario SR1650NX after installing a new Hard Drive. Restore finishes and PC is rebooted and then hangs up at the Initial WIndows XP New Install Screen. After several minutes, I restart the computer again and get the following message.
msoobe.exe – Application Error
The instructions at “0x77c489d1” referenced memory at “0x00000018”. The Memory could not be read.
I am given the options to press okay to cancel application or Cancel to debug which restarts PC and the process starts over.
