MSR problem

I got a problem the same as the guy in the following linK:

The same answers still stand.

The cheap work-around is to buy a used keyboard and scavenge the keyboard controller board out of it.

You could mount the board onto a slot bracket, and route a short PS/2 cord out to the keyboard port.

Second would be a KVM with emulation.

Next would be the devices in my answer with a few links in it.

I think the root problem here is not Windows, but that you have to fool the BIOS into thinking you have a keyboard in order for the port to be active.

That gives me a new idea.
Work with a 3rd party BIOS vendor such as Unicore Software. www.unicore.com
and have them write you a custom BIOS.

You will need a new version of the BIOS every time you change hardware.
