    Multi-processors on NT

    Can I use three processors on NT Server, or do I need to install CPU’s in pairs?

    In the past I have always upgraded in pairs and do have this experience.

      That would depend on your hardware platform.
      My reading of the Compaq specs for their servers that support more than 2 processors is that you can add one at a time, but like you I don’t have any specific experience other than with 2 or 4. But the right answer would be architecture-dependent and the final authority on that is going to have to be the manufacturer.
