Multihomed server not accessible, why?

By karlst ·
I have a multihomed server in my small network setup that I can't access. The situation is as follows:

I have two routers, A & B. Router A faces the internet and has the internal IP Router B is connected to Router A as a client with a static IP and has its own internal IP of The subnet mask used across both networks is I have done a small diagram of what the network looks like that hopefully makes sense.

Connected to both routers is a multihomed server running windows 2008 server. Each nic in the server has a static IP within the network defined by the router. The nic connected to router A ( has everything such as IP6, client of MS networks, file sharing, register in DNS and NetBIOS over TCP/IP disabled and the gateway is router A. The second nic ( has all the defaults but no gateway defined.

I can't ping the server at (or from any computer within the 192.168.0.* network. If I disable the server nic ( connected to router A then I can ping and access the server from within the router B network.

I really can't figure out why this doesn't work. I am not a network person, please tell me this is some stupid oversight on my part.
