Here’s the situation:
Toshiba 460CDT Notebook
32 MB RAM
Toshiba Internal V/F/D 33.6 modem
Windows 95B
Multimedia Connect from Syncro Development Corp. version 1.8
Problem:
The Windows 95 Phone Dialer applet and the Multimedia Connect program do not work.
The Phone Dialer, when asked to dial a number. returns the following message:
“Windows Telephony was unable to complete an operation requested by Phone Dialer. Quit and restart Phone dialer”
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Phone dialer – same results.
The Mulitmedia Connect program returns the following message, when loading:
“Audio and Telephony capabilities could not be loaded. Would you like to continue without audio and telephony capabilities?”
I can’t seem to get this program to work. I have tried reloading it – same results.
The modem has been tested successfully through Dial-Up Networking, Microsoft FAX, Hyperterminal.
The sound system is working fine also.
Any suggestion or solutions?
