I have a PC running WIN98 and resently lost my system board due to a lightning strike. When I got it replaced, I noticed that all the multimedia audio downloaded off the Internet was at 2x speed. I can slow it down in the WAVE player on a file by file basis, but any on-line connects run at 2x speed. The PC is connected to the Internet via a cable modem. Any thoughts of where to look to set a system value or troubleshoot the problem?
