Installed new computer with WIN98 SE with no problems. Then started installing modem, network drivers, each went fine with no conflicts. But the modem and nic do not work, and don’t give error codes as to why. Upon further investigation by examiningthe device property page, I have discovered that the nic, modem and USB controller all are using the IRQ 11. Why is this and how can I fix this problem?
Windows will not allow manually changing the driver settings.
I shared this with a friend who just built a windows 2000 prof. machine and he is having the same problem.
