Multiple ICA connections by same user?

Has anyone every seen an ICA connection take a very long time to connect…so they disconnect. Then when the administrator looks at the Citrix manager, there are multiple logins by the same user, logging in every 8 min?
What could be causing this.

Background: Windows 2000 server, Wyse Thin Terminals, User was logging in from home remotely when it happened.
