I work for a company that does mobile x-ray and this is the situation. We have two vans, each van has a laptop, one for the doctor and one for the speech therapist. These guys type up reports on their laptops and print them out to give to the patient right away. Right now the setup we have is 4 HP printers (2 on each van) and 4 laptops running Windows XP (2 for the doctors and 2 for the Speech Therapists). We want each laptop to have the ability to print to each printer. However, the laptops will stop recognizing the printers. We have had to install each printer on each laptop (4 printers on each laptop). Is there a better way to set this up? Is there a way to keep fromt he HP printers becoming unrecognized? Right now we have to delete all 4 printers from the laptop that loses the recognition and then reinstall each printer. They are connecting to the printers via USB.
