Multiple network connections with windows XP

by adriancollett . Updated 18 years, 4 months ago

Hi,
apologies in advance for the rather verbose question…

i use my internal ethernet card to connect to a LAN.

My only use of the LAN is for a TELNET application.
As i have no internet access via the LAN, i use a broadband USB modem.

My problem is that i cannot use the two connections simultaneously…as soon as I connect to my usb modem, my telnet application gets disconnected anc any further attempts to connect receive the following error: Socket Error: 10060 WSAETIMEDOUT

Is there a way of configuring my system to use both connections simultaneously??

Thanks in advance for any help.

If it’s any help here are my ipconfig settings(with some of the info erased):
