Multiple Profiles on NT 4.0 workstations

by edwinmui . Updated 25 years ago

We have a mixed Netware and NT 4.0 environment. We are using Zenworks 2.0 starter pack to setup roaming profiles on the NT 4.0 workstations. We have checked off the Volatile User box in Zenworks Dynamic Local User, however, on some workstations a user will have multiple directories ending in .001, .002, etc. under the profile directory. I have tried Netware’s TID about the registry hack with no luck. Also, we notice that when logging out of the system it seems to take a long time (about a minute) before the PC shuts down. We look at the connection information on the Netware server and the user is logged off for about 30 seconds before the PC shutsdown. We check the profiles and they are about 10MB for most of our users and smaller on others, we are cat5 and have 10/100 hubs and switches. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
