This probably is possible. the next info comes straight from the MS website and is about the dual boot between W98 and WinNT. Since Win2K is based on WinNT the following actions are surely worth trying:

Good luck, Peter

To set up a dual-boot configuration on an x86 computer, install the operating system in the usual way, and then edit the Boot.ini file as described below. All system startup info is stored in the Boot.ini file, which is automatically created during Setup at the root of your computer's hard disk.

To edit the Boot.ini file:

* In Windows Explorer, click View, click Options, and then click "Show all files."
* Make sure "Hide file extensions for known file types" is not checked, and then click OK.
* Right-clickthe Boot.ini file, and then click Properties.
* Click to clear the Read-only check box, and then click OK.
* Right-click the Boot.ini file, click Copy, right-click a blank area of the Explorer dialog box, and then click Paste. A backup copy withthe file name "Copy of Boot.ini" will be created.
* Double-click the Boot.ini file.
* Add the name and location of the alternate system in the [operating systems] section of the file, as in the following example:

[operating systems]
C:\Winnt="Windows NT 4.0"
C:\="Microsoft Windows"

* ve and close the Boot.ini file.
* Right-click the Boot.ini file, and then click Properties.
* Select the Read-only check box, and then click OK.

Hi the only way that I know of is to have windows 2000 with boot loader adn win 98 on one disc. That will give you 2 os's and if you have a new bios which will give you a choice of booting form scsi you can load win98 on the other drive. HTis will work fine just will have boot from scsi from bios setting and vice versa. rockyolson@charter.net
