I work with in the health care industry and have some great stories to tell. Most are just about how ether how I helped them or how they helped me. And a few are just funny to the user and me.
People who become nurses or doctors spend a great amount of time in school and as apprintices learning how to help and treat people.
We as IT people spend allot of time learning our trade. So when a nurse or doctor has a problem with a computer I calm them down by explaining that we are in the same boat but at a different place. You know how to fix people I know how to fix computers, this has a great calmimg effect and lets me get on with the fix or repair.
I was called to a doctors computer last week because after the migration to a new laptop he could not see his out look add on’s to his outlook.
I told him to open outlook and click on the plus sign.
