Greetings… I am in need. I have a My Book? Essential Edition External Hard Drive (WDG1U5000) that stopped showing up on my computer after a power outage (yes I had a surge protector). I plug it in now and it will not show up and the light will not turn on. I tried taking the cover off and it seems impossible. I do have a cable that I can hook to it if I can get the case off. Any suggestions? I need it’s data quickly!!!
