Can't upgrade

by Mehul Bhai In reply to my OS is windows xp pro.

You can't upgrade the command prompt. Hence everything will crash.
What you are doing?
And how you are doing, what you are doing?
The command prompt in XP is later version than in MS DOS v6.22.
In XP command prompt what you see is the Windows Operating System Version when you type "ver".
First of all why you want to upgrade your command prompt???

Windows XP doesn't have any DOS in it.

by OH Smeg Moderator In reply to my OS is windows xp pro.

XP is built on the NT System which wasn't a DOS System and as such it has DOS Emulators but no real DOS.

Attempting to Install a obsolete DOS element will trash the OS and cause it to malfunction.
