My Documents Folder in Windows95

By jmartin ·
How do I setup in Window95 a My Documents folder on the desktop like the one in Windows98? I want to point it to a network drive (H:) instead of the (C:) drive.

Look at this article, "Relocating the My Documents Folder". It has a couple of options for you.

Move the folder to the H: drive where you want it. Then right-click and drag it to the desktop. Create a shortcut there. Then launch Word. Go under Tools, Options to File Locations and modify the defaults to your new location. You can of course point Excel and other apps to the new default as well (ie. it's under Tools, Options, General in Excel).

Hope this helps! Good Luck!
