How do I get Linux off of my hard drive or at least it’s partition? I tried installing Suse Linux 6.4. It failed because it can’t see the full capacity of my hard drive. he bios is award 4.51 pgm, which doesn’t see it either. I have a dynamic drive overlay that let’s me see the entire capacity, and a capacity limiting jumper that satisfies the bios. Since I couldn’t install linux..I reinstalled windows98. Now something is interfering with my system quite severely. Most programs won’t install correctly or at all; for instance microsoft office. I scanned for viruses, I’m as clean as can be detected. I did a drive diagnostic, it says the drive is ok…no problems. I would really love to flash my bios, but I am new to that. And I can’t justify the cost of the bios flash from esupport.com in light of how cheap the new motherboards are. And even if I did, I am still stuck with a Linux partition that Linux won’t let me delete. The dynamic drive overlay is dos based from maxtor. Formatting doesn’t do any good. I wish I could cause suse as much trouble as their product is causing me! Two of the main problems are copying from cd and I can’t even defragment because of too much drive activity, even when running tasks are minimal. I am a hostage…please help!
