I have a Compaq Presario CQ45 106 AU, with AMD Turion -X2 processorwith 2 GB RAM, i picked up a 1 TB external hard disk and moved all my music, family photos and my files to the external hard disk. My laptop was very slow when connected to the external hard disk. I am trying to connect to the hard disk after two days, I can see the hard disk drive (H:, G: and I:) when I open ‘my computer window’ but the drives do not open and it says that the file or the directory has been corrupted so it cannot be opened.. I do not have back up of my pics, and files, how can i restore it.. I have Windows Vista Home basic.. Please please please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
