My Floppy Drive

By Dr.Jackson ·
My floppy worked great when I was running Windows 98 SE. After installing Windows XP Pro; Now it won't work at all, the lights come on like they always did. Device Manager shows it's working properly. I checked the cables and drivers and it still says to insert disk into drive, even when there's one in it. It just won't start when I click it on in My Computer's Window. Thank You

Check the back of the drive for jumpsers cs sa sb where older windows would work using cs xp has been known to only use the drive set to Select 'a' (sa) or select 'b' (sb). also xp is particularly picky if drive isn't inright connection point on cable where previous windows would be tollerant of drive assign and drive posisiton missmatch
