Hi, I’m writing here because I don’t know what else to do.
I friend game my a Gateway MP8708 that was asking for a HDD password. I couldn’t remove the password from the BIOS so I bought a new HDD to install the OS in.
My problem is that after the POST the system will not give any display.
I tried with an external monitor and same deal. Tested one memory at a time, tried barebones and same deal. The only way I get some kind of activity in the computer is when booting up with the old HDD, after the post I will get a box asking for the HDD password.
Any ideas?
