You need to confirm that the vents on laptop are not clogged and getting sufficient air-flow. With as little information that has been provided, that is your best answer.

Sorry to hear that your laptop is overheating! Don’t worry, I’m here to help you troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue. Let’s go through some steps:

      1. Check for dust buildup: Dust can block air vents and cause overheating. Use compressed air to clean out vents and fans.
      2. Ensure proper airflow: Keep your laptop on a flat surface, away from soft materials that might block airflow.
      3. Adjust power settings: Lower the screen brightness, turn off unnecessary apps, and adjust power settings to reduce heat generation.
      4. Check for malware: Malware can cause high CPU usage, leading to overheating. Run a virus scan using your antivirus software.
      5. Update drivers and BIOS: Outdated drivers and BIOS can cause overheating issues. Check for updates from your laptop manufacturer.
      6. Thermal paste and cleaning: If you’re comfortable with opening your laptop, consider reapplying thermal paste or cleaning the heat sink.
      7. Monitor temperatures: Use software like SpeedFan, HWMonitor, or GPU-Z to monitor temperatures and identify potential issues.
      8. Consider a cooling pad: If your laptop is still overheating, consider using a cooling pad to improve airflow.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be a hardware problem, and you may need to consult a professional for further assistance.

Remember to keep an eye on your laptop’s temperature and take regular breaks to avoid overheating.
