Can anyone please explain why my Advent 9515 does not let me boot from cd at start up? I have been into the BIOS settings and made sure the cd/dvd drive is set as first priority and it’s on IDE 0, but at start up my screen just goes black and displays the message ‘operating system not found’ I have been told it should say ‘press any key to boot from cd’ but it does not say this at any point. The copy of windows I have was downloaded from the net. It is vista lite 701mb. I know it works as I have installed it before on a 2nd partition of a computer with windows 7 on a 1st partition and it was fine. So can anyone enlighten me as to why my Advent 9515 doesn’t want to boot it from disc please? thanks, Matthew.
