I dont know if anybody will be able to help but i think i’m going mad.
I am trying to get a modem to dial my ISP from a landline in my office. The problem is that when the number dials I get a message from the telecoms supplier that the number has not been recognised.
I know that the number is correct. I have also tried dialing the number from a handset using the same line and it reaches the right number (i hear the screeches).I have tried the modem from other locations and it dials correctly.
The modem dials other numbers correctly.
I am using windows 95.I have reinstalled Communications and the modem drivers. I have tried 3 different modems and 2 different PC’s.
It doesn’t appear to be the modem the line or the PC. But hang on, what else is there.
Please any sudgestions would be fantastic.
