I am running a Supra Express 56K USB modem and recently I have had problems with it connecting after sitting static for a couple of hours. When I try to connect to the net I will get an Error 680 but everything is connected. Some times when I restart the computer, it works. Tonight I restarted several times and nothing. When I cnecked it was on the wrong com port. It was on com port 5. It usually runs on port 3. What is making the modem shut down and have to be jump started.
