I inherited my pc from my gaming/programming husband. It is 6 years old, and I have had for a year. Now I am getting the message above from a dos blue screen or a microsoft message box. When I send ‘report the error’ I get back a report stating that it can’t find the exact problems but here are some items to check, my RAM is bad (it is not) I have 1 gb of RAM and my husbands states that if either were bad, I wouldn’t have the 1 but .5 or 0. It also states that my BIOS may need updating if I changed some hardware, such as my CPU. I haven’t changed anything. My husband is against touching the bios, I understand that it is risky. On top of my pc needing to shut down, I get error messages that ‘Internet Explorer must be closed, sorry for the inconvenience’ and it shuts the internet down over and over again. I am not a techie, so trying to remember everything it says is hard, but if anyone has any ideas and feels that I might have left some pertinent information off, please ask. I will be more than happy to answer any questions. I am tired of messing with my pc. All help is appreciated!
