my pc is not connecting wirelessly to the internet

i have a dell mini with windows xp. had it for well over a year now and it recently stopped working on wireless internet. i have a excellent signal to my router and have checked the wep a few times. i have connected it via ethernet and it works great that way. just not getting anything on wireless. any ideas?

Yes I know it sounds silly but these things to save Power and extend Battery Life turn off the WiFi.

Also open the Device Manager and make sure that the WiFi Driver is loaded. These can get corrupted by Updates.

There are many combinations, but a common one on Dell is to hold down the Function key and press the F2 key.

If that doesn't do it, check in BIOS to be sure the device is enabled there.

If everything is on, right-click the wireless icon and start the troubleshooter.
