My PC won’t power up. Please help!
LockedHi I need some advice/help. I’m computer literate but not on most folks’ level that are giving advice on here. I pretty much need to get answers in layman terms otherwise I will get lost easily. I have an E-Machines desktop (model W2888) that recently went out on me. It was working fine until I shut down and unplugged it so I could move it to another room. After the move, I realized the PC would no longer power up. Per the service center’s instruction, I ordered a Power supply replacement (it has the fan attached to it). I noted the connections before unplugging them so I know where each one needed to be. Still did not work. No fan. No indication that USB is powering on (I connected two different peripherals via the USB connection on the back) as there was no light. I opened up the PC again and see that there is a green light on what I believe to be the mother board. I am thinking of taking it to geek squad at best buy but they are charging $100 just for diagnosis. Any instructions or advice you can give I would truly appreciate. Thanks and God bless!
